Um, in case you didn't know it and judging by your responses, you don't. All firearms can be dangerous. Every single one.

again, i'm not advocating losing ANY guns!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

for frick's sake, can we at least start there? i'm not for banning ANY gun, regardless of make, capability, etc.... hell, if society deems you responsible enough for a fricking grenade launcher, then by all means, go get yourself a grenade launcher...

i absolutely agree... some more than others, obviously.... and with that increased danger, i think that there should be increased responsibility and restraint... if you pass all the checks, which most people would, as most gunowners are lawful, responsible people, at least all the ones i know are, then you wouldn't have the slightest trouble getting whichever firearm you want...

And when these people you deem too dangerous or irresponsible start carrying out these attacks with bombs, vehicles, etc? Then what is your answer?

He thinks the government (being taken over by muslims and radical left no less) can do this effectively and fairly.

again, i don't have all the answers but it doesn't mean that rational discussion from BOTH sides of the argument won't produce some very good ones....

dunno... it's such a shitty hypothetical, i really don't know what you want me to say... you have taken such a hyperbolic stance on the issue that you have essentially poisoned the well to any sort of realistic discussion now....

if the stabber is killed by someone with a gun, we're all screwed.

I’m trying to have a rational discussion. You, on the other hand, refuse to dive into the minutiae with me. They are simple and quite open ended questions. I’m asking for your answer to them. You can ask me questions. I’ll gladly answer them.

But so far, you’ve been a coward and have refused to even discuss the minutiae. You’ve clammed up and resorted back to emotion and “if you’ve done nothing wrong you have nothing to worry about”.

You’re right. I have nothing to worry about. I still want to dive into the minutiae with you so you can be awakened to see the flaws in your proposition.

Because you're unwilling address the actual problem.

Bombs and vehicles have not been used in mass casualty events before?

Sorry I attack your intelligence. I do so because these things have been thougt through and even tested. They don't work.

Hell, I'm treated for depression. What are they going to do with me?

Never once have I been a danger to the public.

I have a CC.

I am a veteran (infantry no less), a 25 yr. vol. fireman and a 32 yr. industrial fireman trained in everything possible (EMT, Haz Mat, high rise rescue).

What is the government going to do with me?

You might get more people to agree with you if you'd stop right here.

Forget universal background checks- that is a myth. That will only serve to force new rules on the people who are NOT the problem.
We already have a background check- and every single day people who cannot legally buy or own a gun get turned away by the FBI. This is after lying on a federal document- a federal crime. They aren't getting arrested for it. And so, they end up getting an illegal weapon. No way to stop that as long as they are roaming free. Period.

so make harsher laws and actually enforce them... that's my proposal, or what i would like to see happen
