Florida Attorney General James Uthmeier immediately called for the judge’s impeachment
I mean, I can be called to be in Taylor Swift shower but it’s probably not gonna happen, what does it take to actually impeach a judge?

I would suggest starting with when there is an actual guilty verdict that requires sentencing.

Not sure about FL, but almost all states work similar to a US presidential impeachment. They are impeached by the states house, sometimes majority sometimes a supermajority is required, and then convicted by the state senate usually requires a supermajority, usually 60 or 66%.

The judge and the woman should both be in prison.

But, make no mistake, Utheimer should be in prison with them. He stole millions from a Medicaid settlement to fund Casey DeSantis’ planned run (which is why Casey DeSantis isn’t running). And he’s probably only calling for the judge’s impeachment because he knows the judge won’t be impeached.

COVID was used by some women as an excuse for almost everything.

I've never even figured out what Long COVID is supposed to mean, but some women supposedly are still using it as an excuse not to go to work in 2026.

I can’t tell from the article if the verdict was rendered by a jury. If she was, then I stand corrected and I wouldn’t fault the judge. However, if the judge rendered the acquittal verdict, then they should be called out.

The jury might have made the not guilty by reason of insanity ruling, but the judge gave the sentence of no institutional time.

The judge could have locked her up in an institution for life.

It literally says "After a bench trial" in the OP

Time for the wacko judges to face real consequences

And by real consequences, I would love to see these criminals they release back into society take up residence right next door to the liberal minded judges who decided to do that to law abiding citizens.

Many laypeople don’t know that a “bench trial” is another term for a trial before the judge only. Just like many laypeople don’t know that, when sanity is pleaded, a panel of doctors (generally either two or three) are appointed by the court to do a sanity evaluation, and if those doctors come back unanimous, the judge very rarely contradicts them in their determination

Sorry, I only skimmed through the OP and instead only read the posted article all the way through several times. I even went back after you pointed out and read the article again two more times before I finally realized you said it was in the OP.

Good for that AG, and I’m all for it, but the reality is usually if you’re killing your own family members, you’re not rallying a danger to killing anyone else in civilized society.
