Everyone has honestly missed a big point here. I’d agree there is not a difference between a flesh light and dildo.
I think the reason the SO was likely mad was she didn’t know about it.

As a man your odds are much higher, and therefore you're much less likely to look at it as a chore or something that has a low ROI.
Men are a little insecure about women becoming sort of blaise about sex as a private thing, but until they are very comfortable with the subject then they're not going to feel comfortable with telling you if they're not there with you.

The only rebuttal that I could have for that is how many times have you not made her get off when y’all had sex in those 15 years. I know that unless I’m pretty intoxicated or unless we’ve already had sex a couple times that day, I’m gonna be getting mine. I know for a fact she hasn’t always gotten hers, so I could see the reasoning on her behalf.
