You can hang a bunch of people with the same rope or knife.
Or put them on a plane and toss them out from 2500 feet. If it is Allahs will they will survive.

Good. frick those motherfrickers. Let them spend the rest of their miserable existence in solitude. I hope some disgruntled guard has been slipping pig fat and piss into their food. I hope they get to a point where they wished that they could just die... but we don't let them. I hope they lose all hope and all faith in their fricking c unt prophet Muhammad.

No shite man. I would gladly lose my license to practice (assuming I had one) law and throw that case. I’d help out the prosecution if I could.

Luckily that's not the way our system works. We'll beat them with who we are and deny them real martyrdom. So toss it around like a hot potato, let the bureaucracy stall it out, work on it stall it some more.
We get to do these guys what the Romans were denied Hannibal. Have them in our hands and treat them like nothing. Strip them of life and have it by our book.

No, we should kill them and broadcast it to the world. Like the Romans would’ve done.

The cost is absurd,
I’m willing to bet those numbers are taken out of context. Probably $300 mil for the entire facility that they (as well as others) are housed in, not just for those five. However, I’ve been wrong before.

Considering some of the Cole bombers are still in the same situation, I'm not surprised

Can we at least just put a couple in their knee caps before doing this?

Rome was denied several times in having him just handed over. Had to deal with him in several more conflicts as he advised or lead troops.
Judging by Rome erecting stAtues celebrating him as the greatest threat to the republic, solidarity of the Romans, and competition for commands against him. The Romans would've chained their monster. Nothing quick.

Same reason John Adams defended the British soldiers involved in the Boston Massacre. That was a HUGE deal and perceived as a blatant unilateral attack on Americans on American soil, including killing a kid.
He was a founding father but put a "fair trial" before any loyalties. Anddddd. he needed the money.

let it rip tater chip... if we would start sending a message to savages, there would be a lot less savage shite getting done... blee dat

And set up a big jumbotron in their hometowns to broadcast the sexual torture to all of the residents and fellow "believers".

For many years, it’s been clear that the detention facility at Guantanamo Bay does not advance our national security -- it undermines it. This is not just my opinion. This is the opinion of experts, this is the opinion of many in our military. It’s counterproductive to our fight against terrorists, because they use it as propaganda in their efforts to recruit.
quote:
Moreover, keeping this facility open is contrary to our values. It undermines our standing in the world. It is viewed as a stain on our broader record of upholding the highest standards of rule of law. As Americans, we pride ourselves on being a beacon to other nations, a model of the rule of law. But 15 years after 9/11 -- 15 years after the worst terrorist attack in American history -- we’re still having to defend the existence of a facility and a process where not a single verdict has been reached in those attacks -- not a single one.

Oh, by the way. His plan was to just transfer them to other countries. That's it, just a political jester, nothing more.
