Thanks for the post. I show shot like this to my kids often and tell them "look at these losers, why would you ever disrespect your beliefs and let these idiots make you do something against your will, just go be able to be in their group?"

Don't have kids yet but that's the message I'll send. I was in a fraternity. It was a great experience, but the culture doesn't exactly cultivate individualism and free thinking.

My brother in law was SAE at Bama.

Hazing sucks. It started in a better form to where it created a team. ie...stealing a pledge out of bed forcing the rest to come together and go rescue him which created a bonding type thing......I get it
But standing in fricking freezing water to harm them and do nothing to create unity? That kind if shot is a crime and has to stop.
But most of these punks are just zeros who enjoy renting friends and displaying their control over freshmen for some kind of pleasure.

Even their names are FAF.
If the kid had to have toes amputated then they are more than dumb. It is not hard to stay out of trouble. Always have a spotter(mostly sober person there to make sure things don't go to far).
