but doesn't this board think we shouldn't arrest the "non-violent" marijuana dealers?

They weren't doing anything violent and weren't charged with dealing either, just possession.

By that lineup, I would have thought they would have chosen to stay at Motel 6 instead of the Hilton. Something tells me that they didn't quite fit in to the Hilton clientele.

Congrats to These five guys for winning three square meals, and daily laundry service....rent free!!!

They'll get 3 years and serve 9 months

They'll have a little street Cred and do something more serious next time.

I'm calling it.

True....and "a large bag of marijuana" will probably turn out to be a 1/4 ounce.

Rather odd for sure. The Hilton properties, along with Marriott and a select few certainly take pride in their properties and train their staff to be very attentive.

Not sure why they would have selected this type of hotel when there are plenty of other less desirable hotels available throughout the city, many of which are located in North Baton Rouge.

Not to mention the inevitable priors a few of them will have.

Gun + drugs = jail time

It's a shame they get stuck in the system. instead of our government having rehabilitation programs we have for profit prison systems that are in judges back pockets so any chance these guys have at being good people is minimized for money.

I'm all for putting pieces of shite in jail but the issues these young men have are fixable.

Nah, one of them is fricked. A gun with drugs charge isn't sticking on five separate people.
