That's not fair. I always buy my drugs in NBR.

Filling half the floor up with weed smoke/smell is probably where the criminal damage charge came from.

They should serve some time for extreme stupidity. Calling attention to yourself (loud music) in a hotel while smoking weed. At 10:30 PM when some people in the hotel want to sleep. Might have been a good time to keep the noise down.

This stupidity reminds of ex Dallas Cowboy all pro lineman Nate Newton getting pulled over for speeding with 200 pounds of Marijuana in his vehicle. Might have been a good time to do the speed limit.

MJ should be legal, but since it is illegal, people should really keep it at home and smoke at home. The strong odor makes it really easy for police to make an arrest.

Dumbass, my point is taxpayers shouldn't have to pay for some frick up to rehabilitate. You probably don't understand that concept.

Did you miss this part or are you intentionally dense?

possession of a firearm with drugs, criminal damage to property, and disturbing the peace.

Explain to me which of those crimes are violent as defined by Louisiana law. Hint: check out RS14:2.
Disturbing the peace is a minor misdemeanor that encompasses a lot of activities.
Criminal damage to property could be anything and does not require violence and is probably a misdemeanor here.
Possession of a firearm is only illegal here bc of the presence of the pot. Nothing violent here.

Are you ignorant of the law, or simply stupid? Take your pick.

It can. It simply means property is damaged. Doesn't mean violence was involved.

I'm certain that you would be 100% fine if those dudes were in your house, smoking weed, and damaging your property. But since they were in the Hilton it's a bunch of trumped up charges.
