So my truck warranty just expired and now when I try to unlock the door by touching the door handle it now only works sporadically. I now have to get the remote out of my pocket and do it manually.

Put a new battery in the key fob.

Purposely done, so you it’s time to get a new truck and warranty.

That ain't manually.
But yeah, that sucks- I've gotten to liking that feature on our new 4Runner, just touching the handle with the fob in my pocket.

My dad would say that every bell and whistle on a new vehicle is something else that will eventually break.

Wait until the actuator goes bad and you can open the door, but it sporadically sets off the alarm

I got a new Lexus after years of driving beaters and it has that feature. Got out the other day, grabbed the key and forgot to turn it off! Left my car on in my driveway for 2 1/2 hours

Your door opening service subscription probably expired.

You think you got problems?
I can't change to a different YouTube video because the remote is on the 9ther end of the sofa, but I am comfortable and don't want to move to grab it.

My bidet isn't preheated, so each time I slam that lever I get a polar vortex making landfall crashing into my southern coast

Lady at the drive thru window caught me picking my nose. Gave her my credit card with the offending finger. She made a face but didn’t say anything.

And you mocked those guys that kept calling warning about your cars extended warranty. Jokes on you now

Any action you take with your hands is "manual" by definition.
Pulling the FOB out of his pocket and pushing the button is a manual action.

My Silverado is now 20 years old and I'm STILL getting snail mail and e-mails pushing extended warranties for it.
They just don't give up.

Had to get up at 5:00am so I have time to hit the gym, get my yard cleaned up, and be to the airport by 10:30am.
Played 36 holes yesterday so put off the yard work.

In fairness you are the perfect sale for them. Take payment and probably not have a claim against the account. The next gen with that dumbass cam nonsense...
