There are no health issues that MAKE you obese.
There are issues that make it much harder to lose weight. Perhaps exponentially harder.
I have a friend that lost his legs from an ied. It was exponentially harder for him to walk again but he did it.
Being OBESE is a decision.....PERIOD.

I had a similar situation arise on a United flight to Chicago. I flat out refused (politely) to sit there. I fill up my own damn seat. I didn't need any help. Hell, I would had to sit on the aisle arm-rest. In short, they realized the "Dr. Who" seating arrangement wasn't going to work in the real world. The end result is that they "bribed" a woman the size of a jockey with a business class upgrade on her continuation flight to Hong Kong. I told old boy that I was sorry for stirring up shite, but that he and I sitting together just wasn't happening (which he laughed off and agreed with).
Honestly though, if you can't fit in the seatbelt that is provided, then you need to buy two seats...period.

I flew to Seattle from Atlanta a month ago. This 400 LB lady sat right next to me. She had to get up every 20 mins or so and the oder from her arse filled the plane. No, I am not making this up.

Last flight I was on I sat at a window seat at the back of the plane. As soon as I got settled in, a husband and wife who were about 300 lbs each plop down in my row. The bitch immediately consumes the entirety of my arms rest.
To make matters worse we got stuck on the tarmac for about a half hour waiting for a thunderstorm to pass. While we are waiting the assholes each pull a fully dressed 12 inch sub out and start chowing down. I’m talking jalapeños, balsamic vinegar, oil - everything. The smell was inescapable.

I can't stand it when people feel the need to eat on a domestic flight.
Smells up the cabin and is just disgusting. Like they can't wait a couple hours before stuffing their faces.
Second worst is crying babies. Babies don't need to be air traveling... nothing is that important for them to see.
