someone tried to break into my house near LSU. I called the cops as soon as it happened it and took 45 minutes. Shitty thing is, I was going hunting next morning and my shotgun was already in my truck. I always just load it in the morning now...

I was driving back home at 1030 at night on a sat in Thousand Oaks area of CA...there was a large grass fire right next to the interstate...I called 911 for 40 minutes (until I got back home) and it was busy every time...I can't imagine if I needed an ambulance or something...very scary.

Obvious scenario is obvious. Same way you end of with honkee chicken at Popeyes. Sound white when ordering in the drive through, get smaller pieces of chicken that have sat there for hours. Yes, it do happen and I know for sure it do. Check the box as they hand it to you, hand it back and ask for better product.

Simplest explanation is the most plausible. What is your theory?

That calls are triaged and higher priority called were dispatched first.

i have seen several articles about call response in various cites is almost doubling. I saw how non emergency calls are taking over an hour for response on average.

So yeah, I wouldn't put much faith in 911 and having someone immediately show up.

So we're basically hurtling towards a Judge Dredd scenario? Hell yeah.

Nashville

Law enforcement and dispatch operators are understaffed everywhere. They get paid shite and are constantly shite on so typically people who would do a good job tend to find employment elsewhere.

As a result, we are subject to longer wait times and low quality employees.

Your builder friend needs job site cameras tied to a private monitoring service. East Nashville hasn't shed it's old reputation just yet.

Nashville learned from the best on how to cook the crime stats. Ronal Serpas taught that city everything they needed to know on how to reduce their crime rates until New Orleans brought him to NOLA to lead the nopd.

The dispatcher shouldn't ask race. We've all learned from the press releases that a clothing description is all that's needed.

Closer to a Naked Gun 2 1/2 scenario where crooks being shot and killed is only subject to a $50 mail in fine.

It was a joke about stereotypes. You should look up the meanings of words before you start tossing them around.
