Old folks? I'm 34 years old and gas was under a $1 when I started driving if I recall correctly.

I'm 35 and gas was $0.79 when I was in HS. My monthly gas allowance was $20.

Gas was just over a buck in Oregon in 1994 when I drove to LA after high school.
