First beer with your dad

How's was your first beer with your dad?
First beer with my old man was at a Braves game about four years ago when I moved to Atlanta. I had never seen him drink before but I bought him a beer when I got one. It was a surreal moment to drink with him. I was 24 at the time.

What did he say when you handed him the beer?

Mine passed away long before I was old enough to drink.
glad you got a chance to have that experience, though...that is a major turning point in life, and a memory that you will have for the rest of your days.

About 10 years old. I had sips way earlier than that.

Now that you mention it, wish I would have made it a point to remember it better. Growing up a strict conservative baptist, it was out of the norm to have a beer with your dad. I remember being nervous when he offered me one. Granted I was only a couple of weeks over 21.

A Lowenbrau when my younger brother got killed in Afghan a few years ago. It was rough but we talked about stuff we had never before. Got Damnit it's getting dusty in here.

Can't say I remember it. My dad's best friend gave me my first beer.

Never had the pleasure, he didn't drink at all during my lifetime and I only drank for seven years before he checked out.

I was 18. We were in our backyard while my sisters were swimming. He threw me a football that I wasn't expecting so I dropped the beer trying to catch it. He came over and said. "Son I know you're young but you always save the beer."

I was 18 and we were watching CFB. Always drink a few beers when we watch games ever since.
