Same here- lighter than most years. Maybe because people have work tomorrow?

Hearing a few. Pretty trashy. I did notice some of the stands around town were still open and selling today.

Oh well…let the kids have their fun.

I wouldnt have minded a few this evening, but none so far.

Someone nearby did all theirs at 4am this morning though, which was extremely obnoxious to wake up to in the middle of the night.

Just finished some with my son and had a fun time. If you don’t like that, come tell me to my face.

Don't most of the people in the TD area have thunder anyway? Even the Mexicans two houses down haven't shot off any fireworks since 2300 last night, which is hours earlier than the birthday party for a toddler ended last year.

I have been hearing some go off hear and there. If its not right next door or right across the street do they really bother you? I remember when I was a kid and my parents would let us pop the rest of what we had, the day after.. if there were any left, but it really doesn't bother me. I can understand someone who might have fought in battle not being happy about them going off when its no longer the day to pop them, but there are people on this board who get really upset about it,.

I hear some right now at 9:30. What’s weird to me is that there is an area off the river/lake called Kings Harbor that is doing their big show tonight.

Trashy. Some people have to get up early to fund the deadbeats.

In some jurisdictions you have until tonight to finish popping your fireworks.

The craziest ordinance I have seen regarding fireworks has to be Terrebonne Parish.

You can only pop them between dusk and 10 on the 4th of July and on New Year’s Eve and New Year’s Day outside of the city limits of Houma. But at least that is a start, several years ago, it was no fireworks, but people still popped them.

Meanwhile the freedom loving Lafourche parish gives you a multi day window and you can pop them pretty much anytime during that window out side the city of Thibodaux and Golden Meadow. That window closed at 9 pm tonight.

My neighbors decided to shoot a few mortar shells just now. I hate those things on July 4, but I really hate them on July 5.

Hasn’t been too bad after 10 (when our noise ordinance starts). I don’t mind as long as they stop at a point where it’s not going to keep me up.
