Just sold one on Marketplace. Then the next day they call my Mom and ask if she will take car back because they didnt realize it took premium fuel. Unbelievable!

Is this still available?

Timely topic.
Have been searching for a good, one-owner vehicle for a few months and I've about given up on finding something from a private owner. Everyone seems to be just selling everything to a Carmax where they jack the price another five grand.
One thing I find funny about female car owners selling on Marketplace.....no pictures of interior, no mention of miles, number of owners, clean title, etc. Just a photo of said car and sob story about selling it. Comically frustrating.

What type is it and what are you selling it for?
We are looking for a car for my son who is turning 16 next month. Yours is probably more car than what we are looking to get, but you never know.
Facebook marketplace can be frustrating for buyers too. I keep telling myself “Gods Hands” after every letdown, but I’m ready to get this experience behind us.

Can you blame them for selling to Carmax ? Just look upthread for the latest interaction/exchange that was posted between a prospective buyer & seller.. People can be real jackholes; ive sold two vehicles to Carmax and it was about the most pleasant, easiest experience ive ever had.. plus they offered me far more than what other dealerships offered in trade-in.. if i were selling now, you (almost) couldnt pay me enough to advertise and then deal with the average person off the street .. my time and sanity are worth more than that .

Dude......I get it. I've been selling items from an old rent house lately. Fridge, sofas, Roku TV, etc. It can be frustrating. The best buyers are the Mexicans. They tend to show up no questions asked and pay cash. The Americans can be nightmares.
Having said that, it's sad to see people who need a good reliable car at an affordable price miss out on a deal. I work with low-income workers - single moms trying to pay the rent - that can use a good car. By the time someone finds a break between two jobs to look at a car, it's already been sold to a dealer or flipper who is going to add 4 grand on the price. It's hard for some people to get out of a hole.

I agree. My wife listed a playset that we thought would be a pain in the arse to get rid of because who the hell wants to disassemble and reassemble it. But we listed for free. She got blown up by Messages. Mexicans were here the next day and hauled it off in about five minutes

Out of curiosity, what is the difference in price?

2015 Acura TLX.
Looking for $6K. It has 195,000 miles.
Trade in at a stealership or Carmax would maybe give me $3K.

Agreed. Best selling experiences have been to Mexicans.
The worst have been to... well... the same demographic that everyone has the worst experiences with across the board.
