Just one women’s perspective here, and perhaps it is generational (I’m Gen X). The feminist movement never resonated with me. I always wanted to be a stay at home mom “one day”. When I did work if a co-worker said I was hot or asked me out, I was flattered as frick (it happened a time or two back in the day). I never had a man threaten to fire me if I didn’t do him “favors” as the narrative goes. These poor guys were bending over backwards to make sure I made Partner and celebrated my very minor benchmarks (like routine promotions) with dumb awards and emails because I’m a woman. That was more insulting to me than being hit on.

The largest impact feminism has on me is that I chose to stay home and raise three amazing children to adulthood, with all the sleepless nights, sports, school projects.. and yet I feel judged as lazy by society for not also maintaining a career at the same time.

If a stranger came up to me now and said I was hot or asked me out, I’d milk that flattery for the rest of my days.

Take that for what it’s worth.

It’s funny in a sad sort of way that they still analyze it through the prism of feminism. Despite seeing the outcome they continue a gynocentric approach to assigning blame, “men haven’t figured out how to proceed after me too”. Actually, men have and decided that the cost of participating was greater than the reward. In a society where women, on a whim, can retroactively change their feelings from lust to disgust after the fact, the only way for a man to safely navigate it is to not participate at all.

I'd personally love for all western men, or at least men in the U.S., to do a one month sex strike. Feminists always try to use the threat of a "sex strike" to try to get what they want. Heck women in general will sometimes use it. Men have survived many of these "sex strikes". Yet if men in the west, or at least the U.S., were to do a one month sex strike and turn the tables on women, make no doubt about it, women would melt down.
