Female Process Operators

My oldest daughter's friend's mom (No pics of any, the kids are 9 and I have no pics of the mom) is apparently trying to get on at a plant as a "process operator". She recently took some classes at the local community college.
I'm not exactly an expert when it comes to plant operations, but I didn't think this was a job that attracted females.
I know it's 2018 and all that, but are there many ladies working as operators in plants? Does Jodi come visit the husband when she's on turnaround? Does she buy truck ovaries?

From my experience, they are either A.) worthless at their job and a lezbo or b.) a lezbo who is worthless at their job.

Have a few at my plant and 2 of them are AA women that waited less than an hr to be hired. Women don’t make great operators from my experience. Everyone walks on eggshells around them, and the PTL has a hard time telling them to do something. Leads to more work and lower moral for the team.

I worked HSE with a fat girl who was a “Op-rater”
She was a fat chick who loved the BBC, and she made sure to tell everyone in the plant that her baby was mixed.

My brother who is an operator has a female coworker. Alway faking injuries so she can get out of work.

Jody is provided at the plant's expense on turnarounds. He meets her in the women's bathroom since she's the only one that uses it anyway. Either way the husband isn't getting any.

Lots of female operators here. There is a push for more diversity so she has a very good chance of getting hired by a plant. If she does her job and fits in she will be successful but if she comes in wanting the men to help her do everything she'll have a hard time......unless she is somewhat hot.

So what are you asking? If females can be process operators? It is a job that is held by mostly men, but that doesn't mean only men can do it. It probably makes the dudes she works with feel uncomfortable, but your daughter's friend's mom isn't doing anything that hasn't been done before.

If Jody is taking care of the wife, will the plant also send Jodie to the house to look after the husband?

I've had a few female operators. Vast majority of them are lazy and use the lady card to the max.
A couple have been some of the best I've worked with. The two I'm thinking of we're older, could hang with the best of the baws on a social level, and basically ran shite.
Then there are the ones that are "plant hot" and not entirely worthless (but still close to it). They get promoted to management.

It was more along the lines of, is this a physical type job where it would be harder for a woman to do this? She kind of a thin, short lady.

No, because in this case Jody is the baw operator. If you are going to be stuck at a console listening to a woman for 8-12 hrs/day, there has to be some benefit.
I hate listening to the women in my office and I can come and go as I please, no way would I want to be chained to my desk all day everyday while they complain and gossip nonstop.
