I cba to look up the laws in Pennsylvania, but they probably have a separate statute that covers this, like Louisiana does. 17 is the age of consent in Louisiana, but then we also have this on the books: LINK

The kid is a true dumbass. ONLY way this story got out is because he ran his mouth. Keep you mouth shut, get what every 17 y/o guy wants, and get a damn good education! His next GF should send the teacher a fricking thank you note!
