Female deputy accidentally shoots perps mother

My God what a stupid woman. Several times she could have waited for backup,actually called it in ,yet she pushes the issue. Had zero control of the drunk dude the entire time.
That kick at the end from the dude cop was legit hilarious though.

He's bigger than her so she had him contained until backup arrived. It wasn't until he lunged at her that shots were fired. And she repeatedly told the mom to back up and get out of the way for her protection but the mom didn't listen. The son is at fault for escalating the situation to the point where shots had to be fired.
How's the mom doing?

What a cluster. Did the dude have mental problems or was he just drunk? He seemed disabled which mean she could have handled things differently.

Really man? She had him sitting on the stairs several times, calm. Told him backup would be there shortly to take him to jail. He says fine. She then grabs him be the arm,,, wtf? How can you see it any other way?

I thought she handled it well enough. Probably not according to their protocol but well enough in my opinion. She tried repeatedly to get him to comply and he didn't.

She was scared to death and it turned into a power trip with her.( the cop). He was sitting several times and she could of waited him out. Adrenaline overcame training I think.

Is she new to the force? Had a card to remind her of the miranda rights?
ETA: Even at the 3 minute mark he was sitting on the stairs. He likely wasn't going to do anything or cause a fuss and her partner was on the way. She could have waited for backup and more assistance to arrest him.

The male LE officer arrived and acted correctly and promptly, however, it was unusual that he lost his shoe on his kicking foot, I assume during the kick.
He should secure his footwear in the future. When one administers a kick to the head, one should not lose his boot.

Most of these videos the cops look bad....not the case here. She had it under control when she drew her weapon but the dude and his mom didn't listen and had no regard for the situation they were in.

This is the same department where a deputy shot an innocent homeowner through his front door earlier this year.

This is the very reason women should not be cops.
When you are out weighed 50 or 100 lbs you have to use lethal force.
