She was in fear for her life. She just wanted to go home at the end of her shift. Pedestrian did not comply.

True. Back when I was in Baltimore, you saw the same thing downtown. Cars rushing by at 40mph + and these people are walking around the street like the cars need to go around them.

Yeah, she hit him on purpose. She purposefully put herself and her family in danger from the loons that are trying to find where she lives so they can go harass and attack her.

She must have been tired of spending nice weekends with her family, enjoying the day. She was tired of going along peacefully, planning her future, and nurturing those close to her.

She gave up a pretty good life to hit some dude with her car. Those proclaiming this can frick off. I don't buy their bullshite.

She is probably devastated and scared. Many are passing judgment before any facts are released. My judgment, in advance, is that the "victim" had drugs and alcohol in him and was unable to discern that running across a street with cars coming may cause fatal injuries.

I agree I took that route a few times in the evenings to bypass the parking lot called I-10. The area between I-110 and North Foster always has a lot of people with dark clothes walking between vehicles to cross the road at night. It is a 35 mph zone and I believe it might go to 40 mph closer to N Foster Drive. It gets real bad between the bus station and pawn shop. You can put intersections with cross walks which if they do not have them would help. Problem is the local restless natives do not use them. It is similar to a real life frogger video game.

And they just look at you like you're some fricking a-hole that had the audacity to legally drive on the road while they are casually strolling across 4 lanes of traffic.

I drive that area often coming to/from downtown and there is rarely a day some dipshit isn't just wandering out into traffic. Frankly, I'm shocked pedestrians aren't hit more often.

Wearing dark clothes at night, crossing the street. Saw the video. Everyone just stands around saying OMG. Could CPR have helped. Maybe not, but just saying!!!

I live in Nola and see folks walking across traffic on busy roads while looking down at their phones. Not only do they walk against the lights they never even look up when they do. It happened to me Thursday.

I haven't looked up the stats recently but I'm pretty sure more people were killed in north BR last year by the fine citizens walking around than the police.
