A friend of mine had a drunk guy walk right in front of his truck
Killed the guy instantly & he was cleared
Guy was 2x the legal limit IIRC & was walking back from a liquor store

This does not surprise me. What did the man have on? I know Florida Blvd is well lighted, but there are spots that, if someone is in, could easily not be seen, especially if they have dark clothes on.
And if someone is crossing the road and they get hit, unless the driver does something specific, like swerve at the person, speed up to hit them, etc.. They are responsible for crossing the road without getting hit.. right?

Same. Know someone that smoked some drug addict on Florida or Airline, can’t remember. Dead as shite and the driver walked free no trial because he retard just walked into the road.

I have struck two pedestrians during my career, both in NBR. I was found not responsible for either as each pedestrian entered the roadway at night, absent of any cross walks or intersections, wearing dark clothing.
Drunk pedestrians get smashed. Literally.

The shite that cops get into that is never on the news always surprises me. I have buddies tell me about crazy shootings and shite around BR that never hit the news. Just amazing.
