Good for you!! And never lose your sense of humor. Stay positive and irreverent. You’ll be here for a long time to come making smart arse comments and I’ll be here being a dick about it!!

Hang in there broski. You got this

Pretty dick thing to say considering your prayer request thread. You and mattchewbocca need to meet up and fight it out.

Lost taste and smell for about 7 weeks. My smell isn’t totally back, but it’s probably 90%. Lost them about the first week of August. I can’t believe I survived.

^This was about 3 weeks ago, and I still don’t feel 100% recovered FWIW.

I’m almost 50 and out of shape, but I can usually hang. I get winded very easily now and I feel like my heart is about to bust out my chest at times. Took me 3 days to get a small tree to street after storm. Shouldn’t have taken a day. Just couldn’t go after a few hours of solid labor.

Had it in early April.

I had the royal shits for two weeks like a weekend bender on Schlitz and Ezra Brooks.

I'm so blessed to have made it.

Never lost taste or smell. Have been sick for 4 weeks with a week stay in the hospital. Lost 25 lbs. Can't get rid of this damn pneumonia. Getting better every day, but slow progress. Was never seriously afraid of dying or anything.

Damn, I just assumed I have had it and didn't notice. I am in direct contact with a shite ton of people almost every day and have been since this started. I didn't know loss of sense of smell and taste were symptoms...so maybe I haven't had it. or if someone is asymptomatic, would this not happen?

Caught Covid in late July/early Aug.

Loss complete sense of taste for only 6-7 days. Back to 90%.

Still can’t smell much. Maybe back 25%.

2.5 months in.

You weren’t funny without one. I guess you can try with, but early results don’t look promising. Hopefully the medical tests come back better.

Got the virus a couple of weeks ago. Never ran a fever. Lost smell/taste for about 10 days then got most of it back. (Not all, but I’m starting to think this is as good as it gets.)

I lost my taste buds for about 3 weeks. That wasn’t too bad because I didn’t have to taste my wife’s cooking.

The not so great gift I received 3-4 months later was a heart issue. My ankles swole up and chest hurt. Was tired and got winded. Went to my general practitioner and my blood pressure was 180/120. Never had high BP before. So he sent me to a cardiologist. After 4 in depth and expensive test I was diagnosed with stage 2 cardiomyopathy which is basically an irreversible heart ailment generally caused by a virus. I still don’t feel well. I’m in the process of getting a second opinion from someone in Houston, Dallas, Vanderbilt; wherever I can find a guru cardiologist because I don’t have faith with the doctor I’m currently seeing.
