You jest but this is part of the reason this virus is so deadly to people of size. They risk their bodies going into starvation mode if they can’t taste food

I lost mine for a week in late February. It was before COVID was a big deal here so we didn't know. Had never had that happen to me before so I did mention it to my wife(no pics) who works in ENT. That was my only symptom though maybe slight congestion but nothing crazy

I lost mine a little over two weeks ago, and I swear it’s worse now than it was a few days ago. It is just about to piss me off.

Mine was only for a couple of weeks. My wife hasn't had "normal" taste and smell since late March.

Never lost taste/smell. Only reason I believe I may have had it is my blood donation came back positive for Antibodies.

Once I was clear of other symptoms I swear it smelled like someone was smoking in my area, even though my wife hasn't smoked in 7-8 years and we lived in a new house for two years that hasn't been smoked in either. That went on for about 2 weeks.

I didn't lose either sense. I had fever for a day and then felt fine.

Lost taste for about 2 weeks. Smell is hovering around 70% 2 months later. Have had bad sinus congestion since covid.

Man, I’m glad I didn’t have it as bad as half of yall. I never lost smell, but couldn’t taste for 4-5 days. No taste sucks because you’re hungry and everything sounds good and then you eat and can’t taste anything. I just ate soup for a few days.

So..You didn't actually lose it a few days ago if it's worse now. It was just decreased.

I lost both over two weeks ago. It was my first symptom. From onset until a couple of days ago, I could still taste salt. Now, I can’t even taste salt.
