I can honestly say that the hardest hit I ever took was from Dylan Moses when we played U-high. It was a zone play, I worked my way up to the second level and when we collided, It was literally like running into a wall. No joke, imagine walking into a wall and that’s what it felt like, but at full speed. He didn’t knock me down, but Jesus my ears were ringing after that. I’ve played against a lot of guys that are in the NFL now, but that was different.

I was doing some work in goal and took a 80mph lacrosse ball to the nether region.
That is true pain.

I was playing shortstop and a little girl running the bases pushed me down as she went by.
That is true embarrassment.

Obviously your coach was trying to get you killed. And rightfully so.

Reggie Torbor hit me so hard my helmet flew off and I had no clue where it went and where I was. picture jadaveon Clowney vs Michigan.
ETA: Torbor was at Lee High at the time, went on to Auburn and then to the New York Giants.

Freshman year on the varsity scout team. Ran a slant and got crushed by the safety. Went to the wrong huddle after that.

Just Google "Ronnie Lott"

I was a freshman practicing against #58 Lionel Turner who as we know eventually went on to play and start for LSU at linebacker.... I lived with grass and dirt stuck in my facemask basically.

Gabe Northern absolutely punished me when I tried to block him while on kick return team.

A few. In Oklahoma drills as a sophomore I was up against our senior starting corner and took a huge helmet to helmet. I had a severe headache for a day probably had an undiagnosed concussion. Then we had a jerk senior safety who hit me helmet to helmet any time I did a crossing route. One time I slid to make a catch but the ball hit the ground first and two seconds later I take a head shot from him.

Back in the late 70’s, my hs team didn’t have a full roster, so we played offense and defence with what we had. We was playing Ponchatoula in a district game and they had a RB that was built like a brick shite house, fast and strong and he’d been running over us all game. We was down by 14 in the 4th, coach switched me to CB from safety, told me hold the line, “don’t let that fella get round the corner no more”. I was tired, frustrated and pissed off and the next play they ran a sweep, he ran slap over the LB, which slow him down enough for me to get a hit. I lowered my head and caught him just under his chin...lights out, he knocked me into next week. I woke up, a team mate had picked me up, I looked around to see wtf just happened, spotted a flag on the ground, they got me for spearing and he still made a TD. We lost by 21.

Playing against our crosstown rivals senior year our QB threw a deep post that was intercepted then the safety cut back toward the sideline and I had a good angle for the tackle stuck my arm out had his shoulder pad then out of no where got lit up by a dlineman running to make the block.

My mom was a worry wart whenever she watched me play football as she thought I’d get hurt. I told her if I did, she better not think about coming into the field. One game I returned a kickoff and a guy hit me low and I did a full somersault in the air before landing with the point of the ball jabbing me in the stomach. I wasn’t injured, but it severely knocked the wind out of me and I was in agony. I layed there for just an instant when I realized I’d better get up or my mom would probably start running onto the field.

Was playing scout team TE Jr year. Scout team QB threw me a ball over the middle of the practice field. I was all alone. Go up to catch it, and our All District Free Safety came out of nowhere and decleated me. Helmet flew off and and landed flat on my back. But I caught the damn ball

Playing defensive end, on a sweep I got crackbacked by a fricking wide out...a wideout! Anyways, I get up and stumble back to the huddle...wrong huddle, it was the other teams huddle. Had to Sit out the rest of the game

Got earholed by a pulling guard who I didnt see coming. I played cb and was focused on trying to get off the block where I could take the pitch man on the option. Well the guard had about 150 lbs on me and absolutely destroyed me. I dont think I lost consciousness but when I got up everywhere that was supposed to be the color white (pants, numbers on jerseys, etc were all white) had a green tint to it for about 5-10 minutes after. fricked my world up.

I tried to crack back and blindside Ronnie Rantz when we had a long TD run against Menard.
I bounced off him and he said, “Get off me, boy.”
