So you can't do the same with having kids? I have a son and I'll be going to several road games this season, it's called planning ahead.

I’m more jealous of your age than being kidless

Look I think the OP sounds like a massive douche as well...but the whole "I'll be lonely when I'm older if I don't have kids" rationale for having children is very flawed.

Go to any nursing home in the country. Ask the staff about how often family visit most of the residents that live there.

Death in itself is a lonely experience. Having children doesn't guarantee that you will be in a bed with all your family surrounded by you holding your hand as you pass.

You’re just a pup. Your opinions have no merit.

That too

Seriously though....you wouldn't believe how many people over 65 I'm having to report to the CDC at my work cause they have gonorrhea. They don't just play bingo at the nursing home.

I thought that until my daughter was born and 18 months later I can’t imagine life without her.

You know you can take a kid on your yearly trip to gulf shores.

Kids are awesome. I don't understand the mindset of people who don't want them.

I’ll be going to games on my sons season tickets. He also brought me to Green Bay, dallas etc for LSU games. And we’ll be going to the UCLA game in two years.

Enjoy failing to fulfill your biological imperative while those who feed off your tax dollars outbreed you.

Agreed and shame on children who don’t visit their parents in the nursing home!

My grandmother passed away in a nursing with my mom and her sister holding her hands and telling her to let go as they fought back tears. Death is hard but such a beautiful thing when like that. Having kids has taught me just how much my own parents have sacrificed for me and I vowed to never let my parents be lonely in old age.

Depending on how young they are, it's more of a burden than without kids. I don't imagine you can fully relax with children around. At least not both husband and wife.

My wife and I have been gone probably close to half of the weekends of this year. My dog sitter comes and picks my dogs up and drops then off when we get back. Can't do that with a kid.

That being said, we fully plan to have kids within 3-5 years, but we enjoy married life without them for now.

frickin right it does. I'm going on 3 saints and 3 LSU road trips this fall. So nice not to have to worry about who will watch my screaming shite machines

You can do this with kids too. I have 2 kids and am going to the Texas and Vandy games. A few Astros games plus a playoff game or two. A midweek concert in Nola, and the wife and I are taking a vacation to South Carolina. All without the kids.

ETA: I take that back. I am taking my teen son to at least one of the Astros games.

I can understand their mindset, it isn't mine, but I can understand some of the appeal. I have several friends my age that have never wanted kids and still don't. But, they have some maturity and life experience and don't make immature statements like the OP did.

Children are a blessing that many take for granted.

Yeah it's a dumb take.

Plenty of reasons why having kids is a great experience. That reason is nowhere near that list.
