If it really was a training exercise, I'd bet they never actually realized it was a mistake on their own. The intended "target" probably called down to find out why no one ever showed up.

Fair point.

Maybe his work buddies were texting him trying to frick with him and it backfired.

"Hey, Frank, how's it going lolz"
"Actually not bad, they aren't even here yet rotflmao"
"Wait, what?"
"Yeah, this is the easiest training exercise ever lol"
"I think I need to make a call..."

To top it off, the airline wrote him up for inadequate rest during off hours, leading to him being tired during the next day's flight.

I wonder what you say when you call in to tell them you'll be a little late the next day.

I can hear the commercial now. "If you can't come to us, we'll come to you." "One call, that's all." "The other guys turned his case down and we got him $2,000,000.00."

Someone is lying.

Its mindblowing how incredibly incompetent law enforcement is so often, and how little accountability there is.

did they have the wrong room number? what was the actual number supposed to be? How does such a frick up over something so simple happen? They didn't confirm guest information in the room ahead of time? Seems like in an actual scenario you would have to do that ahead of time.

Vic Hartman, a former 25-year veteran of the FBI, said the training exercise in public does not make sense to him.

"Night arrests are unusual so why would you train for a night arrest at 10 p.m.," Hartman said. "It's unusual, there could be a justification for it, it's just not apparent to me on the surface."

It makes sense when you’re training to do raids that you don’t want there to be much public awareness that they’re going on. For example, this was a common practice of both the Gestapo and NKVD when they were raiding political opposition targets.

The raid/swat units should definitely go away for 90% of the population. Moss Bluff has a swat unit complete with riot shields, bulletproof vests, stun grenades, the works. What a waste of money.

You're not changing this until you do something about private prisons contract quotas though. There's a lot of money made in the business of locking people up; and doing so for any reason really. I mean it costs us money as taxpayers, but the prisons are making money, the police are making money. Everyone has toys and is happy except for us

The vast majority of the FBI is a joke. The FBI quit hiring cops long ago. Instead, they choose to hire accountants, lawyers, and other types with no "street experience" or investigation skills. Couple that with the fact they have gone full woke and are run by Communists and you have what they are today.

I have a feeling this wasn't a mistake...

I have a feeling like they wanted to intimidate this guy for some reason

Even if they got the right room, why would this need to be done in an occupied hotel at night?

How does it take that long to figure this out? Why didn't the FBI agent who was supposed to be getting interrogated speak up instead of sitting there with his thumb up his arse for 45 minutes after the scheduled time they were supposed to start the raid?

We need to scrap this government and start over.

I would like to know what the questions were in this training exercise interrogation, questions taught to be asked in a hotel room shower and not at the local station?

Their training seems about on par with how they do an actual op.

The fact that the person running the exercise wasn't closely watching this is pretty consistent with just how inept that agency is.

This is a legit case where those agents should be charged with assault and sued for damages. Just saying oops we got the wrong room shouldn’t cut it, although it likely will.
