I'm pretty sure it's about those two dumb arse deputies and dea agents stealing shite and making up cases. If it was anything crazy I'm sure the office in Amite would have been raided too, not just the substation.

This is the first thing that came to my mind. The Sheriff is as honest as they come. I can promise you, nothing shady about him.

Also expect the Governor's office to get raided at someone point as well.

Got any specifics to share?

It's got to be the DEA agent that was selling drugs that they were confiscating.

Based only on hearsay, that is in direct opposition to things I've heard over the last several years.

"I can promise you"?
Really?
You don't (and can't) know EVERYTHING about him. Period.

that hearsay really hurt his reelection in Oct 2015 - right under 66% of the vote, swamping four opponents in the first primary.

More than likely. I'm sure they flipped him to a witness for the prosecution.

I imagine one of the former officers/Drug case defendants sang like a canary.

Wasn't William Jefferson reelected while under federal investigation for charges he was later convicted of?

Moral of the story is voters r dum.

We heard you the first time.

Also, I'm not suggesting that any of it is fact, but since when have rumors of corruption kept a Louisiana politician from being (re)elected?

What happens if the police tell the FBI to frick off and refuse to leave? That would be interesting.

Fact: The TPSO sheriff requires his deputies to raise money for his election fundraisers...

Fact: The TPSO has been run by the Edwards family for 4 generations.

Nothing shady at all.
