Don't be so sure. There's a lot going on here. Stay tuned...

The DEA guy was Chad Scott. He was the lead agent in most of the large federal drug bust in the Tangipahoa area since the early 2000's. He was as crooked as they come.

Ed Layrisson was the Sheriff for a couple decades before Daniel Edwards I believe.
Frank Edwards, the dad, was the sheriff for many years. Then Layrisson for several terms, then Daniel Edwards.

I'm pretty sure he only was sheriff for one term. Layrisson was sheriff from like 78 until 04, then Daniel.

It's difficult to believe anyone here making references to JBE and "stay tuned," as if they have sauces about how high or far reaching this potential issue for Edwards may or may not be.
The main reason is that if any of you actually did have Intel and came posting it here the day of or even the day after a multi-agency raid of multiple law enforcement offices, the potential to destroy the case in the same way that the US Attorney's did down in NOLA by commenting on NOLA.com's coverage of their own cases anonymously (allegedly) in the comments section (which got them all into seriously hot legal water) is legitimate.
Not that our little enclave of the internet isn't filled with MENSA Members, but surely anyone connected or in the know wouldn't be that dumb to expose themselves to that much liability that quickly here...would they?

It is nice to see someone with common sense here, anything going on with the Hammond Pd and Sheriff Dept will be related to the DEA case. I am sure the FBI is following up on possible corruption related to whatever those idiots did. All this hinges on how "rogue" those TPSO task force guys were and the DEA agent/agents. Those guys were doing some seriously bad stuff.

Top down investigation as this goes upstream based on scuttlebut in the TPSO
