Here is the type of weapons used in mass shootings in the US between 1982 - August 2019.

Well the next time someone goes on a killing spree that kills 20 people and injures 26 more with a hammer, I'll bring my arse right here and admit I was wrong.

Is the murder of 20 people at once worse than the murder of 20+ people separately? It's not. It's basic logic and impossible to argue.

But, the emotional pull on people like you overrides that logic. And, you are a victim to that emotion.

Well first you throw out machine guns
Then some mumbo jumbo about shotguns
You've shot plenty of handguns, but you've never shot a semi auto gun somehow
You didnt know bump stocks were banned

Considering your strong opinions on the matter, you put out a bunch of hogwash about guns. Also, considering the subject and your strong beliefs about these events, you should know about the last thing I listed.

It sounds like you're an emotional fool who just listens to what your msm masters tell you

and sounds like you are a Fox news watcher.

Again, you have any gun knowledge?

What would you do to try and curb the violence, or would you say frick it?

This thread gives me a headache but I couldn't stop reading it. Both sides just continue to argue the same bullshite.

Campaigns use these issues for political gain. Its a topic to keep people distracted. And both sides use it to rally their supporters.

The truth is... If someone wants to do some destruction, if they can't buy a gun they will find another way to get one. If they don't have access to any guns, they can make their own bomb.

This is America.. If there is a demand for something, making it illegal isn't going to stop people from getting it.

Sports gambling is illegal in most states, does that stop people from doing it? No.

Marijuana is illegal in most states, does that stop people from using it? No.

Prostitution is illegal, does that stop people from going to a rub and tug? No.

Why are yall arguing about this shite? Stop thinking basic.

Whatever knowledge he has is clearly superior to yours, friend.

In a nutshell, this is what it is.

He's ruled by his emotion on this (and probably all subjects.) He probably doesn't realize it. He starts lashing out at people (calling them Fox News watchers, and right wingers, etc.) when they point it out.

It's why the left's approach is a thing. It's why identity politics works to a degree. There are a large number of people like TT9 who are incapable of addressing complex issues without their emotion overwhelming them first. Personally, I think being able to think logically vs emotionally is one of the true traits of intelligence. Not everyone can do it, and those same people have no ability to recognize it. They will lash out and argue emotionally to the end.

If I have on the news, it's for the lolz

I tell myself I have limited knowledge because my best friends are/were in private security overseas and have far more guns and experience with them than the average 'gun person' so I usually keep my mouth shut and ears open when they speak about them

I also tend to not jump in threads on here dealing with facts unless I know a good deal about the subject matter. I jumped in laughing at you because with my limited knowledge I immediately knew you didnt know what you were talking about

He's laid out plenty, junior.

You just choose to ignore it because it doesn't fit the angle you're trying to go for.

He's laid out nothing, same for you. Low I.Q trash backing a hammer is more violent than a gun thread.

Sad group.

And you seem to not understand that even Justice Scalia said Second Amendment rights are not unlimited. 554 U.S. 570, have a read.

He also said "in common use" and "for lawful purposes". That pretty much puts semi-auto rifles outside of another Federal ban. Maybe you should read the entire decision instead of lame attempts to cherry pick your favorite part.

I've laid out my knowledge of guns...mostly by debunking your ignorant posts claiming you know what you're talking about. You seem emotionally unstable. You probably shouldn't be allowed to have guns for the good of society. We may have a future mass shooter on out hands here.

Address the problem, not the tool? One is a rational response that takes complex thinking, the other is a simplistic emotional response I expect from a small child.
