How fricking disingenuous could you (and Breitbart) possibly be?

Nearly 70% of total murders in 2017 were by gun, over 70% of those were via handgun.

Here is the actual FBI report without Breitbart's bullshite spin.

So? More people also killed by disease. Hammers have a functional use. Certainly is no excuse not to do it we can keep some of these weapons out of the hands of lunatics.
Do what we can.

So, why is the left pushing for legislation eliminating certain rifles?

They're saying that those scary rifles are responsible for a small percentage of the total gun deaths, not that guns are less dangerous than blunt objects.

I just got a "health care professional" to brand you a lunatic and have called the police to confiscate your guns.

Now what?

Guns don't have a functional use?

There were 403 deaths by rifle.
7032 by handgun
264 by shotgun

and 3300 by guns not categorized by one of the items above. So what are those 3300? There is no note to indicate why those 3300 couldn't be classified. Are they not considering AR-15's as rifles? Who knows. The data isn't there...despite what Breitbart is trying to tell its readers.

The only person that would even question this is someone who has zero understanding of weapons classification.

AR-15s are rifles. The only person that doesn't seem to understand this is you.

So what kind of gun accounted for 30% of gun deaths that weren't handguns, shotguns, or rifles?

Ok, so if we use the 5.2% of rifle gun deaths number we get from the known deaths by rifle, we get 575 deaths by rifle (which doesn't include "assault rifles" specifically). We're going to ban "assault rifles" for 5.2% of gun deaths but handguns are just fine?

Most people getting shot and killed are gang banging thugs. These bodies are sent to large city hospitals where bullet fragments arent analyzed to pinpoint specifics regarding type of gun. There arent enough personel and frankly, it's not worth it.

They arent going super high tech on the 500 or so bodies showing up in Chicago area hospitals riddled with bullet holes.
