Speeding in a school zone. He was over 200 yards away standing next to his car talking with someone. He claimed he eye checked me when I asked to see the radar. And it was Sunday. No school in session. Tickfaw.

Man, Lala did shoot himself in his own subway parking lot! I liked Lala. Can't wait to find out how he was connected with all this.

OAKDALE, La. (Gray News) - Federal authorities spanned across several parts of Louisiana Tuesday in what the FBI said was “court-authorized law enforcement activity.”

Louisiana State Police confirmed that agency in assisting federal authorities, including ICE, the FBI and the IRS, in the investigation.

The FBI declined to provide any details.

A source told Gray Media Investigative Reporter Chris Nakamoto part of the investigation centered on federal reimbursements.

As part of the operation, there was a heavy law enforcement presence in Oakdale, Louisiana, located in Allen Parish, 100 miles northwest of Baton Rouge.

Heavy law enforcement presence was seen at the Oakdale Police Department and a Subway restaurant. ICE and FBI agents were also seen entering the home of Police Chief Chad Doyle, KPLC-TV reported.

Sources said authorities also converged on the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Baton Rouge, where the Louisiana Association of Police Chiefs Convention was taking place. One source said several people were taken into custody at the hotel.

Federal agents were seen assisting police at a location in Forest Hill, Louisiana, in Rapides Parish, KALB-TV reports. According to the parish tax assessor’s website, the address is connected to Forest Hill Police Chief Glynn Dixon.

Troopers from Louisiana State Police Troop E, located in Alexandria, were seen in Oakdale assisting federal authorities.

Louisiana State Police referred all questions to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of Louisiana, located in Shreveport. A spokesperson for that office did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

ETA: "Officials with the U.S. Attorney’s Office will hold a news conference at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Lafayette. KPLC will stream the press conference live."

my wife got a speeding ticket in ville platte last week. she swears she wasn't doing the speed she was told, cop said they wouldn't go on her record if she paid them the next day. When she called to find out how much it was, she was written up for two none moving violations for over 300 bucks. ending up being about 400 after fees for doing less than 10 mph over the speed limit. Glad they are investigating those theives.

It might be a joint investigation but it seems more than illegal immigration. It seems like it could be about money also.

Sad that the pigstand closed down.

I have great memories of eating lunch with my Paw Paw there after a day of fishing

After it changed owners, we even ate a Thanksgiving meal there. The ‘new’ owners were from Chalmette and were displaced after Katrina. Totally different vibe after that, but still delicious food. That guy got falsely accused of some slimy things and lost the support of the community and went quickly out of business. Again, my understanding is that he was falsely accused by a family member.

The shock factor to have the feds roll up to a sheriff convention and arrest people had to be insane.

Chiefs convention. Chiefs are usually appointed where Sheriffs are elected. Sheriffs answer to the public where Chiefs answer to Mayors and city council

This is the kind of link you will get out of that area

Bull shite…that red stuff is made in Scott/ Lafayette by the boudin mafia…

Some Ville Platte markets are copying that shite like so many others in Acadiana but, VP still has some good boudin. NOT B&S though. B&S sold out to that red shite.

Ville Platte boudin used to be tops until pussies decided they do not like liver but they do like lots of pepper.

Authentic boudin should contain at least 1/3 liver and the final product should be grey in color.

The downfall of boudin started with that shite from krotz springs and Scott.
