The Ville Platte City Marshal’s office arrested Officer Carla Thibideaux on Friday. Authorities say the arrest is in connection to a shooting in April at Parkview Apartments which are under the Ville Platte Housing Authority.
Officials tell KLFY News 10, The Marshal’s office works security at the apartment complex and were investigating a shooting. They said, Officer Thibodeaux was at the scene and collected seven shell casings during the investigation. Authorities say she never reported her findings into evidence. The Marshal’s office did their own investigation into the shooting when they uncovered that the shell casings were missing.
Thibodeaux bonded out Friday night. A suspect in the shooting has been identified but is still on the loose.

I saw that the Village of Killian is disbanding their own LEO and turning policing over to LPSO. At one time, they had two officers, one was reselling prescription drugs seized in raids and traffic stops, the other was stealing and fencing stolen boats and ATV’s.

The absolute only reason most small towns have police departments is to generate revenue through speeding tickets. They all need to be shut down.

And backwoods, uneducated and related. All of these small towns need to be taken over by outside qualified officials. If you can find any in Louisiana.
