While I am not a fan of the Social Justice Warriors, he is still a veteran right? Is there any type of stipulations when these places offer free meals to veterans?

Holy frick. Nice work. Sounds like more SJW trickery.
I thought that these folks were too busy throwing cinder blocks and being afraid of being tossed into the ovens by Trump.

I'm assuming he brought his DD214 to show proof for his free meal. If he only served 4 years, he doesn't have a retiree DoD ID card like I do...unless he was medically retired or something.
Otherwise, yeah, no one carries their DD214 around
Wasn't this in texas? If you're a veteran, texas indicates so on your drivers license.

Even if by some small chance this guy had ever served he's a shitbag. Chances are this guy is a fraud trying to get a payday settlement.

OP followed up with detective work.

Seen some stuff on facebook where people that were there are disputing the old man stuff and saying Ernest is not telling the truth about what happened
Posted on 11/14/16 at 11:32 am to supatigah
vets are starting to act as whiny as the SJW's, and enough of everyone needing a "service dog"

no way?
you mean he might be only telling 1 side of the story?
just look at the manager's face...you can tell he thought the guy was full of shite and just trying to get attention

Go look at the OP's follow on post links.
If you had any doubt, it will be washed away. The dude is a SJW who believes that the ends justify his means.

He said he was wearing an Army uniform without his name or rank on it on Friday because he did not want to be mistaken for an active-duty soldier.
Hmm... what could one person due to ensure he wasn't mistaken for an active duty soldier... Hmm...
Hmm....
Hmmm......
Hmmmmmmmm.....
I've got nothing, spot on idea.

Jesus, is a free meal at Chili's that important?
exactly what I was thinking

They do in Arizona, too, but only if you request it. I'm assuming the same is true in Texas. It's possible VETERAN wasn't on his license
The whole uniform and service dog act makes me suspicious af though. I also have a hard time accepting that a damn Chili's waiter has nothing better to do than give a legit vet a hard time about a crappy free meal without having a valid reason...such as his ID and DD214 didn't match.
I have a feeling it's a fake DD214 and he "played the part" with wearing old uniform and brought Fido along as his service dog.

Either way, like Jones said.. All of this over a free lunch at Chili's?
These days get pretty bad. A few coworkers and my brother have sworn off going out for these deals. These days were getting Essence Fest types of reputations. The companies are learning how to curtail the issues now. We offer a specific menu as opposed to a dollar amount.

Absolutely, it's an amazing gesture by the restaurants, and thankful for it.
It's amazing the amount of people that choose to participate though, we had tried going once and the line was literally an hour long. Thank you, but there's no way I'd spend that time waiting.

I love that we do it to. The scum of the earth also comes out for it and makes it difficult.
