I also have a hard time accepting that a damn Chili's waiter has nothing better to do than give a legit vet a hard time about a crappy free meal without having a valid reason

Bull.

Like the knucklehead fired employees at huge Corporations (Walmart)I've scene defended for chasing down petty shoplifters against company policy?

There are $10 dollar an hour employees who seem to think they own these businesses.

Employees steal & damage more than some shoplifters or guy you suspect trying to get a discount/ free meal.

The veteran worship is insane in this country.

According to most people, a 'veteran' could be somebody who did four years in the USN during the mid 90s...

The lack of active conflict doesn't make it any less admirable, but...

I tend to agree. Simply being a veteran doesn't exclude you from being a POS.

no, but not everyone that ever put on a uniform was Mike Strank, or Audie Murphy, or ever even close to being in harms way, and many went in because they had no other options and there was a high demand for warm bodies in the military, it's usually the REMF's that bang the drum the loudest and seek out the adulation and the freebies

This is exactly why we need a viable third party in this country, this is simply disgusting!!!!!

Even if they didn't participate in a conflict being deployed and away from family sucks. Nothing. Wrong with showing a little love a couple times a year. Beats shouting, "baby killer" at a baw who just spent a year getting shot at.
