listening to the radio this morning about the developer trying to put over 200 homes on the old Sherwood Forrest country club golf course had me reminiscing.
Spent many day out there at the Olympic pool with high dives. Driving golf carts all over the course ,diving the ponds for golf balls then reselling them.
Drinking Mr. Pib and Delaware punches in the mens lounge.
Also in that area the Alazar Grotto haunted house . Loved the creature from the black lagoon that waited under the bridge to squirt water at you.
What other memories from that area do you recall/miss?

No golf course should ever have a damn ditch running across the middle of the fairway on the 1st hole.

Little down the road but we lived on ponderosa during college and I worked at Tonys Tavern and partied there ALOT. We used to have some good times in there. Sad they just tore it down.

That's a little ways away Paul. We used to go back there and drink beer in HS. I wonder if people thought we were the devil worshippers?
