K Mart took a nosedive when they chose Rosie ODonnell to be their spokesperson. I watch it happen. This was after she told all wives to get rid of husband's guns while they're at work.

Has anyone said Suncoast or Media Play? Those were both pop culture heaven.

And in an intra-thread irony, the human model for this D.H. Holmes statue:
was this guy:
He may not be a saint, but he's our Ignatius

The Bike Connection, back when it was by the Old Walmart in Gonzales. When the bike track was behind it.

If a thread as innocuous as this one triggers you it would probably be a good idea for you to consider you're the one with a problem

I just remember Otasco because there was a guy in my hometown who could fix anything. And it was always "oh yeah, he can fix anything...he used to run the Otasco"

and to further establish myself as a boomer-in-genx-clothing, who remembers the 8 track displays at sears and kmart?
they were made of plexiglass with round holes spaced every 6 inches or so in a grid.
you could reach in and grab the 8track and inspect it..but much like bart simpson you could not remove it. the hole was just a bit too small to fit the 8track through..not that i didn't try over and over.
