The flag of Australia. The Union flag in the upper left corner honors Australia's British heritage, its role as a British colony, and its membership in the Commonwealth. The bottom left star is known as the Commonwealth or Federation star, representing the uniting of the individual Australian colonies into the Commonwealth of Australia in 1901. The other stars represent the Southern Cross constellation.



There is also this alternate Australian flag from the Simpsons. Remember - disparaging the boot is a bootable offense.
