Blue Lacy
My dad had one when I was younger. Can't wait to get another.
ETA: or treeing walker. A good coon dog is the ultimate working dog and being good at coon hunting is the toughest job a dog can have.

Australian Cattle Dog. Years ago I would have said Labrador, but I was fortunate enough years back that some POS abandoned one near our home. I took her in and over the next 13 years of ownership she was hands down the best dog I've ever had. Once I have the space again to have one, I'm getting another Heeler/ACD.
Best dogs ever IMO.

We recently adopted a rescue dog who was clearly a weenie dog mixed with something else slightly bigger... After looking around we saw what an Australian Blue Heeler looks like, and that's definitely it! Never seen that breed before so we had trouble getting it right.
He's quite a handful and loves nipping at my heels in morning when I let them out

Neighbor got an Australian Cattle Dog and that boy has energy that is insane. His morning run is about a mile, up the hill past our house, down to the intersection, down the next road, up through the woods then back along two fence lines. All at full speed.
I met the dog when it was on its early afternoon run, came up behind me, stopped about fifteen feet away and loudly proclaimed "Wuff". I talked to him, and then he continued on his midday run.
Now we saw a Catahula on Saturday and I'd forgotten what great faces they have. (Yes, in a Louisiana car, up in east TN.)

Had a Boxer. Great personality, fun dog. He was hard headed and impossible to train..He was destructive and couldn't housebreak him completely. But I loved that dog.
I now have a mutt, Chihuahua/Rat Terrier mix. Great temperament and VERY easy to train. He goes off to be to himself and is not in need of attention. Very food driven. The only downside is he sheds like a MOFO.

Beautiful breed.
Second favorite for me. I also really like Catahoula's.
I own both

Back in the seventies my sister had a Rhodesian Ridgeback/Catahoula mix. He was a great dog. Big Alpha Male that would get in fights with other males at a drop of a hat. He would get out and be gone for a couple of weeks or until the SPCA caught him.
One time he got out and was witnessed crossing Claiborne Ave. and before he crossed he looked both ways.

Cocker spaniels and labs.
A few friends have Labradoodles and they are surprisingly awesome dogs.
