My dad raised labs all my life. They are good dogs but they shed like someone pays them to do it. They hyper super hyper. I just don't care for a lab. Maybe because I was raised around them. I hate those bastard..

I've had my Husky for 2 years and he is awesome. Like someone else said never barks, doesn't stink, and has the personality of a human. It's wild.

Whataya know, a Horn and an Aggie agreeing with one another.
Phenomenal dogs. They are the best bird dogs, great with the family and friends, and other dogs.

I've heard they have very peculiar personality traits. Care to expound it more? I don't know a soul who has one (why would you with the Texas summers)?

Border Collie. Great breed.

favorite would be Golden Retriever
mine is half golden retriever, half yellow lab. Beautiful dog. She is ridiculously strong and intelligent.
I have one issue with her, and it is my fault; if she gets off her leash she thinks its a game and will make me chase her until she is tired. One time I ended up having to chase her across a busy street. In a house or chained she is well behaved. I've been thinking about doing a shock collar to get her to not run away if she'd slip out of her harness, but I'd prefer another option.

Australian Poon hound, followed by GR

Belgian Malinois, Dutch Shepherd, German Shepherd, Giant Schnauzer.
Had a German Shepherd once . Extremely loyal , protective & intelligent.
I'd prefer a short haired dog so Dutch or Belgian would be my choice since I hear they are similar to the GS.
