Dude dressed like a pimp. I got appointed prince a couple times. He must have switched from sultan to prince at some point.

a book they authored

Back when my Dad was teaching this was absolutely against LSU policy. He would tell me which profs used their own books to teach instead of the one listed on their syllabus, and he usually had a copy. That little bit of insider trading helped offset unreasonable expectations professors that had known me since birth had for me.

I can't believe Roider is still around. Had him for Western Civilizations my freshman year when Charlie Mac was still the coach.

ETA: to the poster that said Roider hated teaching?

He was one of the most enthusiastic teachers I had. I really enjoyed his class

As a CM guy, I loved Duncan Kitchen. Had him for 2 classes, and our Senior PM class he was awesome in. After I graduated I went back for Construction Recruitment day and visited. Went by to see him and tell him thank you, by far prepared me the best for the things I'd see in my career. He says "You know, it takes a lot of effort on my drive in every morning to turn into the ornery SOB you guys all know and love."

I love telling this story because its awesome. My last semester, I had the Senior PM class on MWF, and it was my only class on Fridays. He walked on one Friday about halfway through the semester and says, and I quote: "Good morning. This will be a short lesson today. If there is any one thing I want you to learn, its this. Never. Dip. Your Pen. In the company. Ink. Nothing will frick up a company quicker than banging one of your coworkers. Keep it in your pants at the office. Have a nice day."

Kerry Sauley and Greg Bursavich were my favorites.

Least favorite was that old bastard that taught oceanography and the guy that taught renewable natural resources and wore Hawaiian shirts on Fridays.

Best: Bob Outland- US History. Looked like Tom Hanks, cussed like a sailor. He brought a great perspective to the subject.

Worst: Any of the damn non-english speaking Economics instructors who were fresh off the boat and trying to teach macro/micro Econ. Felt like I needed one of those U.N. ear pieces.

Also had a very effeminate Bio 1208 instructor would loved to sexually harass my male hetero lab partner. At one point he told my partner, "I'd LOVE to examine your package"
