It’ll never happen on standard commercial flights. Here’s what will happen…fares will go up, the number of seats will get smaller, and we all lose because people are too fricking fat

Gravity doesn't care what shape your mass is, it takes the same amount of entergy.

you have to be extra extra fat to get stuck in first class

I was flying to Frankfurt in business class. Shortly after take this guy in a business suit introduced himself as an Oncologist who was presenting a cancer paper with the two docs in front of me. He asks me to switch seats with him so they can finalize their remarks. I say ok if you are also in business class. I go to his seat and it's a middle seat with aisle seat open. I fall asleep and wake up later with a 400 lb woman next to me with my head stuck in her armpit. I have no idea where she came from but there were learnings for me that night.

It would be hard for me to contain my laughter if I came across something like this.

I would have left in seat for days till he lost enough weight to not be stuck in the safe. When asked why leaving him in the seat for days, we are literally saving his life.

I can see it now: passenger being removed from his seat with a come-along.just keep ckankin' until something gives....

Will proof be required? As someone who fits in a regular plane seat I would be willing to pay for an XXXL particularly on long flights.

I had a co-worker that was super obese before getting the stomach surgery. She was terrified to fly because she couldn’t fit in the seat well and worried she end up as some viral meme. I really don’t know what the solution is for these people or the airline. Airlines can’t be expected to accommodate every size person.

Its the airlines fault for letting him on board to start with

Looks like you stumbled upon the solution here.

Problem is that I can’t remember the last flight I took where every seat wasn’t taken. I had to fly recently between two fat men in short sleeved shirts. I did not have the foresight to wear long sleeves and after a two hour flight as we got up my arms were covered in their sweat. Barf.

You shouldn't even be allowed on the plane if you're that big.

One case where an actual picture of the fatty in question would have been nice

You guys are wrong! There are some people that are large because they suffer from a medical condition or for a variety of other reasons. And no I'm not overweight, but I do have friends and family that are for a number of reasons. What if that person was your parent of brother or sister, would you feel the same?
What if the government said all ugly people were not allowed to travel by plane or car? That's means all of you would be stuck at home...getting fat!

For those wondering, this is the BA First Class Suite in question

The epidemic of obesity we see would not be an issue at all if we were only dealing with the tiny percentage of folks who have a bona fide medical condition that caused their obesity.

And this is why we should pay by the pound to fly.
Not a bad idea but you can bet the airlines wouldn’t accommodate with larger seats. They would put the extra revenue towards fuel maintenance.
If you’re that fat, don’t fly unless you have your own jet.

I pay more for leg room. It's worth it for me.
