I worked as a part-time teller at the Regions on Plank Road for a good while before I was transferred to the Regions on College Drive. Pulled up one morning to check the branch and there were bullet holes in the ATM.

I worked for an industrial construction company around there in college. We used to have to go up in the man lift and patch bullet holes in the shop ceiling at least once per month

Did the closing of the Earl (EKL med center) make crime worse in that area? It probably Decreased police presence. 20 years ago, Plank Rd. wasn’t the nicest place, but it was generally safe during daylight hours. Now I’m craving some Tony’s Seafood.
