185 in a Lamborghini Hurrican. That test drive at NOLA motorsports is worth the money.

128 in an 89 Honda Accord on an asphalt road between sugarcane fields in probably 1993!

The steering wheel and dashboard started to shake a little violently so I decided to live a little longer.

About 135, down the westbound hill on I-90 towards Whitehall, Montana. It's a pretty steep grade that's about 3 miles long, mostly straight. Great for buzzing towers.

It was in a 2011 WRX on snow tires. Utterly spooky at that speed with those tires. Probably lucky that one didn't delaminate.

155 in my 1973 455 Trans Am. It was still climbing in speed but started feeling like it was going to go airborne. I shut it down fast, lol.

I live less than a mile from the A96 in Bavaria. 120mph is a Sunday drive here. With the inspections here, you don't have to worry much about the conditions of the other vehicles on the road. Just look behind you before pulling out into the left lane...

I lived in Wiesbaden and working Dexheim. It was about 20 miles or so. It was a regular thing on a work morning to go 108 on the open stretch of the Autobahn. Sometimes I’d make it to work and not remember the drive. That’s kinda creepy at 108mph.

Exactly about paying attention to the left lane. Get out of the way if you see flashing headlights or left turn signal and don’t hang out in the left lane. One thing that Germany taught me about driving is that Americans are idiots when it comes to left lane cruising.

Surprisingly, my old GTI would do 140 EASY and still pull strong. Theoretically it could do 170+ with the tune that was on the car with the limiter removed. My current Mustang can do 150 without breaking sweat. It is governed at 162 but I never hit that, and it still holds the road solid in triple digit territory, the S550 platform is awesome. I hit go to jail speed in 3rd gear, suppose to top out in 4th gear, I still have 2 more gears to go after that... people say the top speed is limited by aerodynamics even if you get the limiter off... not exactly sure how that works.

Straight speed is way less fun than taking corners at speed, but still fun none the less.
