Those McDonald’s prices are way higher than my local one. You can still get a McChicken for $1.79
That said I’ve never ordered just a medium fry

McDonald’s average burger cost went from $1.05 to $1.55, a rise of 48%
So 55% hike under Biden and 48% hike under Trump
Both parties suck dick when it comes to spending and inflation now

SNAP benefits per capita oddly coincides with these price increases

Company profits are at an all time high
I'm not going to pretend to be obtuse and say this has NOTHING to do with the current administration or the federal reserve or giving billions to ukraine and israel...
but this is also just companies RAISING their prices....
why?
Because people still fricking buy it
Stop buying it
SAVE MONEY

Wrong. Huge multinational profits are at an all time high. Everybody else is/has been getting slaughtered. The pain is starting to flow into the larger companies.
We gave the richest and the poorest amongst us like a 25% raise and we expect corporate profits in a consumption driven economy to stop buying goods? That's ridiculous

Fast food joints don't seem to understand that when their prices get to within a few bucks of the better options it is easier to choose the better options. For what I used to get at Taco Bell I can now get three tacos, chips and salsa, and a drink from a good taco joint and only spend around $4 more.
Hell, at my favorite Chinese joint I can get a large size of my go-to and three egg rolls for like $6 more than my old order at Taco Bell, and I would get two meals out of the plate.

Exactly. Most of the appeal is price and convenience.
For what I spent at Taco Bell last time, I could have gone to a real Mexican place and stayed within $2 of what I spent.

Could you really though? What used to cost around $24 with tip is now more like $30 at my local tex mex place. At Taco Bell you can still get a cravings box for $5. That comes with three items and a drink. I think the biggest issue is most people don't understand how much less they pay using the apps.

I’ll pay whatever Taco Bell charges for a Crunchwrap supreme

It's been a few months since I've gone, but I know I could get 3 carne asada tacos and a drink at El Tio for $10-12. They are way better than anything at Taco Bell too.

So you're paying at least double what taco bell costs.

Not really. These 3 tacos are as filling as a Taco Bell combo. Their tacos are mostly lettuce.

Last I checked, $10-$12 is at least double $5.

If you aren't full after a craving box at taco bell, you might be fat

That's the thing though, if you just order from the regular menu, it's pretty much just as expensive as higher quality food.

You post on a message board. I feel very confident you can figure out how to use an app to not do that. It's your money though, do what you want.
