Those are great but this is a park policy issue that was poorly implemented and designed. The employee was evidently upset having to do this to people and had to turn away people all day. If you can't make a fricking sign at the bottom of a ride, then the ride shouldn't be open.

Tomorrow a fat kid is gonna get embarrassed because of a poor door policy at a drugstore in Modine Illinois. And you'll be in here saying in here with your hindsight how they should have seeen this person's embarrassment coming and fixed it to protect their potential feelings. And maybe after that we'll all start doing all the right minor little things every day to make sure no fat kid ever gets embarrassed again. We'll have done it! We created heaven!

Unless that fat kid and his dad just laugh it off and don't call the paper

The park could have been a little more discreet

So at the greatest place in the world, Dollywood, they have test chairs before you even enter the line for the ride, so you can see for yourself if you fit or not. Not sure about the water park, my son wanted nothing to do with it, so I didn't get to do slides.

Easy, no embarassment.

The parks have to be safe and there are rules for a reason, as you mentioned the recent death in Orlando. People who get all pissy for fat shaming need to STFU. There are also height requirements, both min. and max. for rides. You don't hear people crying because they were too tall to ride a ride.

Your point is low effort and blatant bigoted bullshite.

My point is people don't give a shite if there is a weight sign posted. If they want to ride the ride, they're going to try independent of age.

They also don't care if there are one way in and outs at gas stations, signs posted to throw your shite away at a quick service restaurant, etc, etc. People are selfish and self centered as frick. If you think putting a weight limit sign up will stop shite like this from happening, you're a moron.

So it's not that his daughter is morbidly obese, it's that someone finally made the family face that fact.

would love to argue with you but i'm losing where you think you're being smart. you can focus on the fat kid all you want, the park was at fault for how this was handled. There's no defense here.

At fault for what? Embarrassment is not a crime, it's a personal feeling that varies by different people.

If you don't let your child get extremely obese, there's never an issue so I disagree

What a 13 year old is wearing or not wearing no matter the size of the girl is none of your concern or issue at hand.

Actually it is.

Her father is acting like no one knew she was fat until she stepped on that scale, and the revelation humiliated her. Why didn't simply showing up in public in a swimsuit humiliate her?

Help me out here, but isn't having people seeing fat rolls all over your body worse than them just seeing a number on a scale? Why is the number embarrassing, but the rolls of fat aren't? It's not like she showed up all Karen Carpenter, and then springs went flying when she stepped on the scale.

You can't sit here and fault them... this family... this girl humiliated...for not following rules/signage that wasn't even posted. No matter your embellishments, not all fat people think or behave the same.

Well, that's not what I'm doing. You're seriously very, very dumb.

As I stated several times, my original comment had nothing to do with this girl, her father, or fat people. It had to do with all people and their general disregard for rules. But, as Ive also stated several times, you're a fricking imbecile so you didn't understand and got your panties in a wad.

its not. you have no information as to what she was wearing yet you're fricking here yapping non stop about it. getting turned away in front of strangers at the top of a ride for a rule you were unaware of is actually a pretty fricked up moment for a 13 year old girl. And yes, its hard enough for fat kids to enjoy themselves in life while being fat. Congrats on your novel mental midget thoughts.

Well, the company would definitely be responsible if her fat arse went over the side of the slide and fell to her death. So I'm sure they would rather fat shame than kill someone.

they have a lot more in school. fricked up moments happen every day. You can never prevent that from happening. You have to teach them to deal with it.
