The parents should be humiliated that they let a 13 year old get over 200 pounds.

I saw a guy get turned away at Wet and Wild on that Black Hole ride. There is a scale at the top. You hop on and get a red or green light. I guess it would be pretty embarrassing! But still funny.

i'm a big guy. i don't blame it on anyone else and I know that I am limited on things that I can and can't do. Maybe, if the family had humiliated her at home instead of allowing his 13 year old daughter to get to be 205 lbs, this wouldn't have happened.

the park was at fault for how this was handled. There's no defense here.
Horse shite. All she had to do was refuse to get on the scale. She knew damn good and well what she weighs. If it was gonna embarrass her, she shouldn’t gotten on it.

Im not denying them, I in this instance, wasn't talking about fat people. I'm happy to opine of her parents letting a 13 year old get severely obese as well, but that's not what I was doing as I've explained close to a half a dozen times now.

Im not arguing with you, I'm pointing out that you are a slack jaw who reads at the same level as my 7 year old nephew.

The only monster is a 13 year old girl who weighs 205 pounds.
The parents are the bigger monsters imo.

that's the benefit of a sign at the bottom of the ride entrance serves.

What percentage of people would you surmise are over the weight limit and see the sign and turnaround?

Dad is so worried about public humiliation that he went to the news?

Only 13 and already over 200 lbs?

I honestly don’t see where humiliation would encourage someone to lose weight. Especially considering how that there are multiple studies out there saying the exact opposite would happen.

do 13 year olds that weigh over 200lbs actually know their own weight?

Wrong. The park is under no moral, ethical nor legal obligation to tiptoe around the feelings of a morbidly obese teen nor their family.
The only fault here is that of the family for not taking this as a wake-up call to get her some help instead of using it as an attempt to continue to ignore her obvious health issue by blaming the water park for doing nothing more than making them face it in such a way that they could no longer avoid it.
Face it, the real "public humiliation" the parents are upset about is that this happening in public reflects poorly on them as parents.

Dude, she was at a fricking WATERPARK. If she wasn't wearing a swimsuit, she would look out of place and probably feel humiliated.

I've known enough fat kids who did the hard work to get fit to not feel sorry for you.

Well, that pie graph spreadsheet thingy of yours is irrelevant. Dude clearly said his daughter Tiny was weighed in American regular pounds and that graph is in Foreign metric pounds. Dummy.
