Makes me want to point out that if a single individual tests positive twice in a 10-day time frame, they count it as 2 confirmed cases. Padding numbers by protocol.

Doubtful. The media just doesn't want to report that over half of the people who contract this virus never even have symptoms. The media won't make money by sharing stories of a virus so awful that most people have no symptoms or cold-like symptoms. They must spread fear so they get their clicks.

What if I told you somewhere between 80-100 million Americans have already had the virus? Because that's the truth.

My wife and I both tested positive. We had pretty mild symptoms but definitely had it. I lost my sense of smell for a few days. We were at a Christmas party the night before I started having symptoms and not a single person tested positive. I’m talking 12+ people got tested. It’s weird for sure but that could also mean several people had it already without knowing it and had anti-bodies. It could also mean we had a mild case and were emitting a large viral load. Or a host of other reasons. It doesn’t mean, however, our tests were wrong.

My buddy’s FIL passed today and another buddies father passed this week from COVID, both in their 60s and in good health. The numbers may be inflated some but they’re definitely on the rise, Especially in TN where I live.

Some of the tests will show positive if you have
1/100,000,000,000,000th of a spec of COVID. Some tests are highly sensitive. It will test positive even though you do not have enough of it to get sick.

I don't understand the logic of using "padded case numbers" to argue the government is overreacting. If case numbers are artificially inflated, this thing is deadlier than thought. If only a few thousand people actually caught covid, and 95% of them are all dead - then yeah we better be shutting down.

The best, and IMO most likely, mathematical option is the confirmed cases are a vast undercount (by a factor of 3x to 10x) depending on if we're talking today or last March. That is where the low fatality rate comes from (~0.5% ish, heavily weighted toward the elderly and trending to absolutely miniscule for the young). The undercount will come from people like most of us on the OT, who really aren't going to get tested unless we have to.

The best news ever for ending this quickly would be Gov. Edwards reporting that each and every Louisiana citizen was a confirmed positive.

Why did you get a 14 year old tested?

Is she obese or have other medical issues?

If not....it's a fricking virus...let it run it's course

Wow, did you just wake up from a 10 month nap? You get people tested so that you can quarantine those with the virus and do contact tracing to slow the spread.

Could this be because kids no longer speak face-to-face, electing to text or use other social media to communicate?

It’s a weird virus. I know people who had it and didn’t transmit it to anyone despite plenty of opportunity. And then I know of a single person spreading it to a dozen people in a single setting.

So, either this is the most whackadoodle virus in history, or there may be some issues with the methods and consistency of the tests.

My fiancé got it. We live together. I did not get it.

So you had a pending test and didn’t wait until results were known before having more people over?

That was really stupid

Yep. These are the same retards saying masks are ineffective and pointing to positive cases as proof.

The "numbers" have been inflated to hyper-inflated beyond context from the beginning.

Fake numbers aside, this is correct. The testing they use is super sensitive so its picking up very small “bits”.

Bumping this. I saw only 23 people tested positive for the flu this past week. Pretty sure the CV kills the flu.

I'll also add that it has the same mortality rate as the flu.

Even the doctor that saw her said he didn’t think she had Covid.

How would the doctor have any idea? His opinion is no better than anyone else’s. The only way to tell is with a test.

And the $$$ are in the crono.
Why do you think the flu is basically non-existant this year?
Because there is no $$$ to be made with flu cases.
Lots of $$$ to be made with the crono!

I posted in another thread that my friend had Covid in Nov, along with his wife. A couple weeks ago he tested four times and was positive, negative, positive, then negative.

PCR test is not as accurate as we would like.
