A survey of stay-at-home workers in the United States suggests 12 percent of workers have kept their cameras switched off during video calls due to a lack of clothing.
Mentimeter, an interactive presentation tool, announced it commissioned a survey of 1,500 people working from home amid the COVID-19 pandemic and found 12 percent of respondents admitted to keeping their video cameras off during meetings on Zoom, Skype or Google Hangouts because they were naked or only partially clothed.
We know it's higher than 12%!!

I keep it off because I look like a homeless person on a bender when I work from home.

I put on a polo with no pants. You just have to remember not to stand up.

I did this yesterday because I forgot about a 9 am video conference and had just got out of the shower, so I was shirtless in shorts and flip flops

I usually keep my camera off but will still throw on some gym shorts and a t-shirt just in case the software malfunctions or I accidentally click the camera

There is a great video going around of some dumb woman going to take a piss while on a video call with like 25 other people. She forgot she had her video on

It is definitely higher than 12%. I dont brush my hair or anything while working from home. Be lucky if I have on a shirt.

I keep my camera off because you don't need to stare at my face to have a discussion.

My boss has started wanting to do webcam on our calls. I hate the idea, not because I don't have pants, but because I don't want anyone to see me rolling my eyes all the time.

I prefer video calls because facial cues reduce the tendency for everyone to accidentally talk over one another, like they do on voice calls.

I keep video off, except for the "telehealth" visit I had, it forced you to have video on. It was stupid, just a way to bill my insurance to say hi, we are keeping your meds the same, still get them filled at Pharmacy, thanks, bye.
