People on FB are either old or there's some brain cells missing

I gave up doing private sales like that. People are just too stupid.

Some of these are fake, you can see the different color text boxes.

But, generally speaking, your title is correct.

Some of the drivel I've received on there makes me wonder how some of these people can even afford an internet connection.

Lmao text boxes are different in color when you text an iPhone and when you text an Android device??. It’s green for android and blue for iOS haha

Sold some stuff to a local guy on eBay.

He asked if we could meet in a Taco Bell parking lot for the purchase.

We make the exchange, then he asks if I want to go inside and have some Taco Bell with him.

I immediately thought of the Seinfeld scene where he says, "No thanks. I already have enough friends."

Last time I sold something on there was my old phone when I upgraded. The ad title specifically said it was an AT&T phone and AT&T was mentioned again in the description. Guy messages me and wants to buy it, so we agree to meet at the mall. We meet up, he looks at the phone and powers it on and the AT&T logo comes on the screen as the phone boots up. He hands me back the phone and says "Oh sorry, this won't work. I have Sprint".

i sold a small chest freezer on facebook marketplace last summer. 16 different send messages before somone showed up with cash, i was asking $50 by the way.

that same summer i was remodeling my house and i had an electric wall oven for sale. a girl asked me if it worked and i said yes but it was disconnected because the new one was installed in its place. she ask how could i prove it worked and i said you will have to take my word for it and i was asking $20 for it. she passed because it was not hooked up. my response was it will more than likely be on the curb for trash pick up if you ant it for free next Tuesday.

After buying my house, the previous owner left his washer/dryer. Preferring my own I placed the set on FB Marketplace.

I watched in horrored delight as a coonass from Delcambre threw this perfectly good set into his 1998 beaten up F-150.

He broke the glass door, dented the dryer, and broke both control panels. It was the damnest thing I've ever seen taking a good condition, $400 set of appliances and rendering them worthless in a manner of 5 minutes.

I buy and sell stuff on OfferUp all the time.

People are annoying and stupid for sure, but it still works. I always meet at a local police station for the transactions. Actually had that request scare off someone when I was selling a bedside table. He ghosted me after that, I'm curious if he was going to rob me.

I have not sold many things online. I tried a couple on craigslist with mixed results. I thought maybe facebook marketplace might be a little better. I placed 3 things up for sale there within the last year.....Unbelievable. I took them all down after a week. I'm convinced that there is a lot of members out there that make these ridiculous replies as a form of entertainment. I don't even believe most of them are legitimate dumb people or misunderstandings. I think they are done on purpose in an attempt at humor.
