Last time I sold something on there was my old phone when I upgraded. The ad title specifically said it was an AT&T phone and AT&T was mentioned again in the description. Guy messages me and wants to buy it, so we agree to meet at the mall. We meet up, he looks at the phone and powers it on and the AT&T logo comes on the screen as the phone boots up. He hands me back the phone and says "Oh sorry, this won't work. I have Sprint".
That sounds pretty similar to when I was trying to sell my Xbox 360.
The ad clearly stated XBOX 360 and had several pictures of the console. I drove 10 minutes to meet up with this creature who took one look at the console and said "oh dat a 360 I thought dis wus an Xbox One"
Incomprehensible how stupid some people are... it's always at its worst when selling shite online.

That isn't Facebook market place.

Facebook is the biggest cesspool of humanity ever created. Worse than the DMV.

Wanted for parts maybe?

I started selling small shite and then when we agree on a price and time to pick up I just tell the person I'll put it on the porch and to just leave the cash in the mailbox.
I figure its worth them "stealing" the item to not have to actually meet any of these people face to face or me to leave my house (and it's all just stuff I was going to donate anyway). Surprisingly through 15 transactions everyone has been honest
I do have a doorbell camera set up and I figure through Facebook you have their profiles so no one wants to be shamed.

I sold some tires and rims in a bidding war frenzy that took about 2 hours

I was trying to sell my wifes old Buick on FB. I wanted $15k which was less that KB suggested with the given miles and condition. There was nothing wrong with the car and it was high tier model.
Some parasite on FB tried to get me to take $1200 for it. I was polite but explained that I couldn't take anything less than what stated.
