Change accidently to intentionally.

Unexpectedly, sure. Accidentally, not a chance.

Those are the most desirable jobs in the airline industry nowadays.

FedEx and UPS are some hidden gems in the bidness, most of the others are almost like indentured servitude

777 can you expaine to me why breaking the sound barrier and causing a sonic boom at an airshow is a bad thing?

I’d be happy to have one.

For someone that has no idea.....why what he did was wrong? And why would he have some questions to answer?
There are specific areas to do it.
One is in the southwest and at a high altitude.
Unless responding to a real world threat, you aren’t supposed to do it state side.
At that altitude, it can break windows, trigger alarms, etc.

We went to the EAA show a few times when I was a kid. Saw the Concord there.

I love the F16. It may be a bit dated, but to me that is the coolest damn jet we've ever built.

Repeatedly and enthusiastically. Until I broke the sound barrier.

Why is that a big deal? Are they not supposed to do that at airshows?
Posted on 8/3/21 at 10:36 am to TigerFanatic99
Big boom at that altitude would cause all sorts of mayhem. Broken windows, spilt bowels, the works. Generally frowned upon by mgt. lol. My guess is parts of ole maverick’s bird were transonic. So while he wasn’t totally supersonic, parts of the plane were. So definitely a small boom.

Speed brake was out. That’s what caused it most likely.
